PDF Smart Scanner Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern your use of PDF Smart Scanner, an iOS and iPadOS application for scanning, creating, editing, converting, signing, and sharing documents.
Use of the App
You may use PDF Smart Scanner for lawful personal or business document workflows. You are responsible for the documents, images, files, signatures, annotations, extracted text, and other content you create, import, edit, export, or share using the app.
Free and Premium Features
The app includes free features such as basic camera scanning, local PDF creation, local document storage, importing images, and saving PDFs through the Files app. Premium features may include OCR, advanced editing, signatures, conversion, compression, PDF security, advanced sharing, and other tools described in the app.
Subscriptions and Purchases
Premium access may be offered through monthly subscriptions, annual subscriptions, and optional lifetime purchases. Prices, billing periods, trials, and availability are shown in the app through Apple StoreKit and may vary by region.
Subscriptions are billed by Apple through your Apple ID. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings. Lifetime purchases, when available, unlock premium features for the life of the app as offered at the time of purchase.
No Account Required
PDF Smart Scanner does not require an account to scan or save documents locally.
User Content
You retain ownership of documents, images, signatures, annotations, extracted text, and other content you create or import. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to scan, edit, store, export, or share that content.
Electronic Signatures
PDF Smart Scanner may allow you to create and place electronic signatures. You are responsible for determining whether an electronic signature is legally appropriate for your document, transaction, or jurisdiction. The app does not provide legal advice.
OCR and Conversion Accuracy
OCR, image cleanup, compression, conversion, and document processing features may not always be accurate or complete. You should review important documents before relying on, signing, submitting, sharing, or storing them.
Prohibited Uses
You may not use the app to violate laws, infringe rights, create fraudulent documents, misrepresent identity, bypass security, or distribute harmful, illegal, or unauthorized content.
Third-Party Services
If you export, share, email, print, or send files to another app or cloud service, that third-party service is responsible for its own functionality, availability, terms, and privacy practices.
Changes to the App
We may update, modify, add, or remove app features over time. Some features may require a supported device, current iOS or iPadOS version, Apple framework support, or premium access.
Disclaimer
PDF Smart Scanner is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, documents, profits, or business opportunities arising from your use of the app.
